Wisteria
Wisteria floribunda is a beautiful decorative creeper belonging to the bean family. They can be found under many names, e.g. Japanese wisteria, Japanese raspberry or Japanese wisteria. The plant occurs naturally in Japan, and owes its name to the American anatomist - Caspar Wistar. Wisteria is a strong growing vine (annual growth can reach from 1 to even 3 meters in length), wrapping around supports. Most varieties reach about 8 meters in height and even more. Wisteria leaves are all-round, consisting of 13-15 leaves. The biggest advantage of the raspberry is undoubtedly its flowers. Gathered in long dangling clusters, reaching up to 50 cm in length, inflorescences delight many observers and attract useful insects. Flowering begins in May and lasts until June. The pods, which are the fruit of wisteria, remain on the plant throughout the winter and are also very decorative. Wisteria seedlings can be found in many different colors: blue, lilac, purple, white or pink.
