'Valentina' is a variety with a very original, salmon-apricot fruit colour. It grows as a 1.5 m tall shrub with stiff shoots covered with a wax coating. It bears fruit for a long time and abundantly - tasty, fragrant fruits, ripen from July to August. The lack of large thorns on the shoots facilitates harvesting and care.

Raspberry Valentina is perfect for beginners who are just starting their adventure with these plants. It is resistant to diseases and pests, does not freeze. Requires a sunny position and slightly acidic soil. It bears fruit on two-year shoots, so young twigs should not be pruned.

What does raspberry fruit contain?

Raspberries have rich health properties for our body. Fruits contain organic acids (e.g. citric, malic, salicylic, ellagic), pectins, sugars, volatile aroma compounds, as well as a lot of vitamins (e.g. C, E, B1, B2, B6) and elements (potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium). The leaves contain tannins, flavonoids, organic acids and mineral juices, which is why they are often used to prepare infusions and teas.

Among the many health-promoting properties of raspberries, a few of the most important can be mentioned:

• anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, calming effect
• lowering blood pressure
• strengthening the immune system
• protection against free radicals
• menstrual pain relief
