Polish proven variety that repeats fruiting. It grows as an upright shrub, reaches about 1.5 m in height. It fruits for a long time and abundantly, also on one-year shoots. Produces medium-sized, red, shiny fruit. They ripen twice a year - the first harvest at the end of June, the second at the beginning of August, until the autumn frosts.

Raspberry Polana is resistant to diseases and pests, it does not freeze. Requires a sunny position and fertile, slightly acidic soil. To obtain one large autumn fruiting on two-year-old shoots, cut all shoots low to the ground after harvest.

What does raspberry fruit contain?

Raspberries have rich health properties for our body. Fruits contain organic acids (e.g. citric, malic, salicylic, ellagic), pectins, sugars, volatile aroma compounds, as well as a lot of vitamins (e.g. C, E, B1, B2, B6) and elements (potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium). The leaves contain tannins, flavonoids, organic acids and mineral juices, which is why they are often used to prepare infusions and teas.

Among the many health-promoting properties of raspberries, a few of the most important can be mentioned:

• anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, calming effect
• lowering blood pressure
• strengthening the immune system
• protection against free radicals
• menstrual pain relief
