Product description
NOVELTY!
Hydrangea Living 'Little Rosy' is a new variety belonging to the award-winning Dutch Living ® collection - a family of hydrangeas distinguished by long flowering, strong shoots and long life. The 'Little Rosy' variety is a dwarf shrub with stiff shoots, reaching only about 70 cm in height and 70 cm in width. Its leaves are dark green, ovate, rough hairy. The main decoration is the beautiful, paniculate inflorescences at the tops of the shoots, composed exclusively of sterile flowers. Flowering begins in July and lasts continuously until the end of September. Inflorescences in the initial phase of flowering are creamy white, later the color becomes pure white. Over time, the inflorescences turn an intensely dark pink color. This is one of the most beautiful dwarf hydrangeas. After flowering, the faded inflorescences remain on the bush and continue to be an ornament in autumn and winter.
The bouquet hydrangea blooms on one-year-old shoots, which means it is not exposed to damage to flower buds during spring frosts. Thanks to this, it blooms reliably every year. To bloom abundantly, each last year's shoot should be cut (by 1/3 or ½ of its length, as desired) in early spring. Pruning stimulates the plant to grow and branch out, and also promotes the formation of larger flowers and guarantees abundant flowering. If we want to achieve a spectacular "sea of flowers" effect, it is recommended to plant at a density of 4 pieces per m2.
Bouquet hydrangeas are shrubs with very high frost resistance (in our climate they practically do not freeze, they can be planted throughout the country), resistant to air pollution (they cope well in urban conditions). They are not picky about the substrate, they are happy with even average soil, they do not get sick and are not attacked by pests. They prefer a sunny position, but can also grow in partial shade.
