Product description
A shrub with stiff shoots and a spreading habit, reaching about 1.2 m in height and 1.5 m in width at the age of 10. Dark green leaves, turn orange/red/yellow in autumn, and fall in winter. Large flowers (approx. 6 cm in diameter), red, funnel-shaped, composed of 5 petals, collected in spherical inflorescences on the top of the shoots. It blooms reliably and profusely in May and June. Flowering takes place before the leaves develop - before the flowers begin to fade, young, juicy green leaves begin to appear on the shoots. The variety is recommended for planting singly and in groups, in home gardens, flower beds, heaths, gardens in oriental style, in the company of other ericaceous plants (azaleas, rhododendrons, heathers, heaths, etc.).
Deciduous Azalea need an acidic and permeable substrate - a mixture of acidic peat or composted soil, sand and bark will work well. They lose their leaves in the winter, so they do not dry out or freeze in winter. They are completely frost-resistant in our climate and do not require any winter protection. Azaleas prefer sun or semi-shade positions.
