A dwarf shrub with a compact habit, reaching about 30 cm in height and 50 cm in width at the age of 10. The leaves are small, dark green, slightly mossy, and partly fall off in winter. Full flowers with a nice, salmon-pink color that does not fade under the influence of sunlight. It blooms very abundantly in May and June. It looks impressive planted both individually and in a group, in the company of other heath plants - rhododendrons, azaleas, heathers. Due to its compact dimensions, it is ideal for small gardens. It is suitable for growing in pots (it can overwinter in pots, in unheated rooms).

Japanese azaleas prefer an acidic and permeable substrate (pH 3.5 - 4.5) - a mixture of acidic peat or composted soil, a bit of sand and bark will work well. The area around the bush should be mulched with bark. They are characterized by good frost resistance, although in open positions, exposed to strong gusts of wind, it is worth covering them for the winter (using agrotextile or branches of coniferous trees). Unlike some rhododendrons, they do well in full sun and their leaves do not burn. They can also grow in partial shade.
