Actinidia VITIKIWI ® is a fertile and self-pollinating variety of actinidia, with very nice, miniature kiwi-like fruits that are not only tasty, but also good - they contain almost four times more vitamin C than lemon or orange. It is a long-lived, frost-resistant and fast-growing climber with shoots wrapping around supports, it grows up to 5-8 m, the annual height can grow up to 2 m. Large leaves (13-25 cm), green, turn yellow in autumn, and they fall in winter. White flowers appearing in mid-May. VITIKIWI® is one of the early varieties of fruit - fruits appear already 1-2 years after planting in the ground. They ripen in the zone, are 2.5 to 3.5 cm long and 1.5 to 2.5 cm wide. They are green, aromatic, seedless and ready to be eaten raw. it also contains vitamin C, it also contains an amount of flavonoids, vitamin B8, as well as potassium, calcium, zinc and fiber.

Position and cultivation

Actinidia grows best in a sunny position, sheltered from the wind, in fertile, moist, but well-drained, slightly acidic soil. The seedling should be placed near supports around which it can wrap and climb, e.g. fence mesh, pergola, gazebo, wires hung between poles, etc. It is characterized by good frost resistance, withstands temperature drops to about -26 °C. VITIKIWI® is a self-pollinating variety, it does not need an additional pollinator to bear fruit, but planting the male variety 'Weiki' in the vicinity significantly increases the number and goodness of the fruit set.
